Richland Center is the county seat and the hub of Richland County. This small town, an hour from city life in LaCrosse and Madison, is a charming step back in time with friendly people, less crime, fewer problems and a slower pace. Yet, Richland Center supports a large rural population and offers fine shopping a variety of restaurants, motels and bed and breakfast establishments.

Frank Lloyd Wright's A.D. German Warehouse - the only warehouse he ever designed and what he referred to as his Mayan Temple - is located in Richland Center, Wright's birthplace. It is the last example of his work from that period still in existence.
